Our History
United HVAC and Plumbing is a true family-owned and family-operated business built on decades of hands-on experience in the heating, air conditioning, and plumbing industry. Owned by Greg and Dottie Nielsen along with their six sons, this is a company where family isn’t just part of the name, it’s part of the daily work. In fact, when you call or schedule service, there’s a strong chance you’ll interact with multiple members of the Nielsen family throughout your experience, each bringing their own expertise and commitment to customer care.
About the Owner
Greg Nielsen began his journey in the HVAC industry over 35 years ago alongside his father and two brothers in Phoenix, Arizona, where he developed a deep understanding of quality craftsmanship and customer service. Building on that foundation, Greg founded United HVAC and Plumbing in 2018 with three of his sons after more than 30 years of success running a family business established back in 1987. Today, the company brings together more than 40 years of combined industry experience, spanning commercial new construction, retrofit design, system replacement, and preventative maintenance, now focused on delivering top-tier residential service throughout Colorado. With three NATE-certified technicians on staff, the team stays current with the latest heating and cooling technologies, ensuring homeowners receive knowledgeable, reliable service every time.
